What is the maximum magnetic field strength of a micro-electromagnet?

AI Thread Summary
The maximum magnetic field strength of a micro-electromagnet is influenced by factors such as thermal degradation and material properties. While typical values for simulations may start around 0.1 Tesla, achieving 0.5 Tesla is feasible, especially with effective cooling methods. Larger electromagnets can reach up to 1 Tesla, suggesting that smaller versions may also achieve significant field strengths. However, micro-electromagnets are still rare and their capabilities are not extensively studied. Estimations for their performance should consider these variables for accurate simulation results.

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone knew, or if anyone knows where I can find, the maximum magnetic field that a micro - electromagnet can put off... I am sure this depends on a lot (thermal degredation, materal properties etc) but I just need an estimation as I am running a simulation and need a typical value.

I ran the simulation with 0.1 Tesla... but I need something more like 0.5 Tesla. Is this possible for a magnet that is approximatley 100 micron in all 3 dimensions? Any advice will help. Thanks.

please keep in mind these kind of magnets are rare as of yet and their abilities are not well studied. I just need an estimation.

anyone have any advice? or one or two words?

Even much bigger electromagnets can reach 1 T, so you can easily obtain 0.5T using a small one (better cooling by thermal radiation).

I was using the Smith chart to determine the input impedance of a transmission line that has a reflection from the load. One can do this if one knows the characteristic impedance Zo, the degree of mismatch of the load ZL and the length of the transmission line in wavelengths. However, my question is: Consider the input impedance of a wave which appears back at the source after reflection from the load and has traveled for some fraction of a wavelength. The impedance of this wave as it...
