AI Thread Summary
To increase the text size of desktop icons in Windows 7 while keeping the icon size unchanged, right-click on the desktop and select "Personalize." Then, at the bottom left, click on "Display." From there, choose "Set custom text size." This method allows for adjustments specifically for the text associated with desktop icons. The process is somewhat similar to older versions like Windows XP, where users accessed the Appearance settings through the desktop properties and adjusted the font settings in the Advanced Appearance menu.

I think that he's referring to the size of text on his desktop icons.

I won't be on a Win 7 machine until later to confirm but on XP this is how to do it (Win 7 should be similar):

Right click somewhere on your desktop and select Properties on the popup.
Select the Appearance tab
Select the Advanced button
Select the Icon selection from the Item dropdown box on the Advanced Appearance popup
Set your font settings to whatever you want.

Windows 7 is a bit different.

Right click somewhere on your desktop and select Personalize on the popup.
Near the bottom left, select Display.
On the next page, select "Set custom text size".

Asus Vivobook S14 flip. The power button is wrecked. Unable to turn it on AT ALL. We can get into how and why it got wrecked later, but suffice to say a kitchen knife was involved: These buttons do want to NOT come off, not like other lappies, where they can snap in and out. And they sure don't go back on. So, in the absence of a longer-term solution that might involve a replacement, is there any way I can activate the power button, like with a paperclip or wire or something? It looks...
