Power and value assignment puzzle

AI Thread Summary
The discussion revolves around a cryptarithm puzzle where participants must substitute capital letters (T, A, U, B, E) with different digits (0-9) to satisfy the equation (TAU).BETA, which, when rounded, equals a two-digit integer representation of PI. The goal is to minimize the absolute difference between (TAU).BETA and the actual value of PI, while ensuring that T, B, and P are nonzero digits. Clarification is provided that in this context, PI refers to a two-digit positive integer, not the mathematical constant π. The discussion also touches on the definition of a cryptarithm, emphasizing the rules governing such puzzles.

Substitute each capital letter in bold by a different digit from 0 to 9, such that (TAU).BETA when rounded off to the nearest integer is equal to PI, and the absolute difference of (TAU).BETA and PI is the minimum. Each of T, B and P is nonzero.

I underlined a little of your post there...
Do you mean PI as in π, the ratio of a circle's circumference to it's diameter?

If so since when is Pi an integer? Is that the puzzle here?

In the current puzzle, PI is a two digit positive integer in consonance with the requisite substitution in conformity with cryptarithmetic rules and does not have any connection with п.

The relevant definition of a cryptarithm is given here.

Just ONCE, I wanted to see a post titled Status Update that was not a blatant, annoying spam post by a new member. So here it is. Today was a good day here in Northern Wisconsin. Fall colors are here, no mosquitos, no deer flies, and mild temperature, so my morning run was unusually nice. Only two meetings today, and both went well. The deer that was road killed just down the road two weeks ago is now fully decomposed, so no more smell. Somebody has a spike buck skull for their...
