Well, at least you can show us the whole problem, and what you have done, instead of brandishing an image to us like that, and let everyone else do the guessing job. What's x? Is it OC, DC, AB, or DB? No-one knows. :confused:

And i agree with VietDao29.
You must make an attemot at the problem and then ask.

It seems x is meant to be the angle <CDB.

Hi Dave. You've got to use all sorts of theorems about angles that you've learned by now... as in, facts that allow you to work out one angle given another.

What geometrical shapes can you see in the picture? What facts do you know about angles in those shapes?

ETA: huh, just noticed the date stamps. Well, I wonder how he got on?

Thread 'Finding the number of ways to arrange identical balls in a circle (3 different colors)'

I tried to combine those 2 formulas but it didn't work. I tried using another case where there are 2 red balls and 2 blue balls only so when combining the formula I got ##\frac{(4-1)!}{2!2!}=\frac{3}{2}## which does not make sense. Is there any formula to calculate cyclic permutation of identical objects or I have to do it by listing all the possibilities? Thanks

How to find the greatest value of ##b##? Thanks
