what would a wave function of
phi(x) = Ke^(-a|x|)
look like?
would it be like an exponential graph with a graph reflected along the y axis?
and its probability distrubution (phi)^2?
i have no idea...i can't seem to find it by googling.

Why does the period of a tangent function = 180 degrees, and the sine and cosine functions have periods of 360 degrees. Also i don't understand why asymptotes are included in the tangent graph, and not the other two
If someone could clarfy this for me id be very thankful
so if the plot of x(t) is given, then I get confused about how to graph x(4-t/2), I know how to graph x(t+4), x(t/2) and x(-2) ..

any help?
Hello again,
Once I get this graphed correctly, I don't see any problems as to why I couldn't solve it. But for now I have a question about graphing this volume problem.
The problem says to find the volume generated by rotating the region bounded by y=e^x, x=0, and y=\pi about the x-axis.
I...

For my time series and spectral analysis class i need to graph something like in the attachment. i need to have 100 numbers that are connected like that, and then 'add' them to a sinusiodal wave to create a real life wave - with noise.
How would i do this using mathematica??

Hey Guys,
In PreCalculus, today, I received a fairly difficult project -- probably not as hard as you would think, but I do need help. We are asked to create one picture on our Graphing Calculators. I have done about 11 so far, but none are as I like them.
This is what I put into the Y...
I’m having trouble graphing this equation:
16x^2+9y^2=144
I have entered it into both my Algebrator program and the quickmath.com website. They both gave the same graph of the ellipse. In each case the major axis was vertical. With the Algebrator program it simplifies the above equation...

Algebra II-- 3-D Graphing
my algebra II class is getting into 3-D graphing and i need help. can anyone tell me where to find some pre-made blank graphs? it takes me too long to draw them by hand and interferes with my tests.
hey all
i have the following d.e.
y''+y=f(t); y(0)=0, y'(0)=1;
f(t)={ 1 , 0<=t < pi/2
{ 0, pi/2 <=t < infinity
so i solved the d.e.
and i got
Y(t) = 1+sin-cost-U_pi/2[1-sint]
i did all the work, i just don't know how to go about graphing the funciton..
any help would be...
Hello,
I have this problem that I completed. I was hoping somebody could just let me know, based on my answers if the graph I have drawn looks to be correct? I would really appreciate it.
Thanks to anyone who replies. :smile:
Graph Y1 = log (X^26) & Y2 = 26 Log (X) Are they Equivalent ?
I drew the graph using X values ( -5, -4, -3, ... , 4, 5 )
and I got graphs, but don't know how to account for any differences in two functions..
Can anyone in here help
Okay, here is the problem, ; Remesh likes to run outdoors and ride his bicycle at the veledrome. He burns about 400 calories/h running, and 300/h riding his bike. It costs $6/h to ride in the veledrome. Ramesh hopes to develope a weekly exersise program that will burn 4800 calories, cost no more...

Hello everyone,
For a Physics Lab, I have to graph the acceleration of an object. I was curious as to which programs would be reccomended in using, keeping in mind that it has to contain a smooth curve. Thanks in Advance,

Hello everyone! I have a worksheet and it says Graph the following limits:
(i) r(t) = <t,-t,t^2>;
(ii) r(t) = <t,sin t, cos t>
can that be transformed into a unit vector? like
r(t) = ti - tj + t^2k?
&
r(t) = ti + sin (t) j + cos(t)k
I'm confused on what he wants!
I'm supposed to sketch this graph
