AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers around a website called Alternative Science, which claims that evolution and natural selection are false. Participants express skepticism about the credibility of the site's claims, with one commenter stating that the initial lines reveal a lack of scientific rigor and dismissing the content as nonsensical. The conversation highlights concerns about the misuse and misinterpretation of evolutionary science, suggesting that the website may serve more as entertainment than a serious critique of established scientific principles. There is a call for further exploration of the site's content, particularly a section titled "How dare you," which appears to mock the author's self-proclaimed expertise. Overall, the thread emphasizes the importance of critical evaluation of claims made against well-supported scientific theories.

I don't known if it belongs in the science forum but by browsing the internet I found a website called Alternative Science. http://www.alternativescience.com/natural-selection.htm
A "scientific" journalist is making claims that evolution and natural selection is false.

I just found is that is proof did not support most of its claim.

Greetings !

I think it's enough to read the first few lines
to see who and why wrote this. In a word, it's
a bunch of crap.

The "fittest" is the result of basic physical
entities interacting according to the laws
of physics (which can in turn be discribed
by mathematics). There is no problem of
definitions here. I saw no point to read
beyond this part, so please do tell me if
perhaps there is indeed something worthy
of serious attention beyond this point.

Peace and long life.

I am just trying to start a discussion (more or less trying trying to rest my post count ) on false interpretation and misuse of evolution and science. You should read the section "How dare you", the guys is trying to justify that he is knowledgeable and its quite entertainning. The rest of the website is worth browsing for entertainment purpose.

I am reading Nicholas Wade's book A Troublesome Inheritance. Please let's not make this thread a critique about the merits or demerits of the book. This thread is my attempt to understanding the evidence that Natural Selection in the human genome was recent and regional. On Page 103 of A Troublesome Inheritance, Wade writes the following: "The regional nature of selection was first made evident in a genomewide scan undertaken by Jonathan Pritchard, a population geneticist at the...
