AI Thread Summary
Authorities reported that a body was found in a public pool after being submerged for several days, raising concerns about pool maintenance and safety. The pool's murky and dirty water made visibility extremely poor, preventing lifeguards and others from noticing the body. There are questions about why a child who collided with the victim did not report anything, as they were present in the pool at the same time. The discussion emphasizes the need for better pool upkeep to ensure safety, as the condition of the water hindered the ability to see and respond to emergencies. The body only surfaced after several days due to bloating, highlighting the tragic nature of the incident and the potential for prevention through proper maintenance.

They said that the pool water is so murky and dirty all of the time that you can't see that far down, she wasn't visible. I want to know why that kid that crashed into her inside that chute said nothing. After all, they were there together.

How can the pool be allowed to get in such a state? Part and parcel of having a pool is that it should be a safe place, how is a life guard meant to be able to do their job if they cannot see into the pool? Very sad story that could have been avoided.

no, it was at the bottom, 12 feet down …

it only came to the surface when it became bloated "a couple of days" later
