She leaves behind a 6 month daughter (b. Sep 7, 2006), ostensibly fathered with Howark K. Stern, her former attorney and common-law husband. Apparently there is a paternity suit filed by a former boyfriend.

She's probably the single most useless human being to ever be on TV. Have any of you seen her reality show? It basically consisted of a drunk, drugged-up Smith stumbling around, stuffing her face, and whining to her assistants when she couldn't get something she wanted. If she didn't have millions of disputed dollars and big boobs she would have been ignored years ago.

Her original claim to fame was as the Guess Jeans girl. Back then, I have to admit, she was a very beautiful woman. Too bad her life was so screwed up.

Don't get me started on her TV show. The people that paid for and produced that show should be hung, drawn and quartered. Talk about the closing of the American mind. Pathetic.

On a side note. I did read an article surrounding the law suits against her and Trimspa. It went into detail of what her "diet" really was like. It was not healthy at all. I wouldn't be surprised if that also had something to do with her death.

She was very pretty at the time, and her popularity with the men probably played a large part in getting Playboy to feature a "big" girl.

Call me shallow. I thought she was fun to look at and that was worth something in itself. Just a beautiful, beautiful girl. Too bad she made so many crappy choices in her life.

I feel sorry for the baby girl. I hope who ever gets to raise her, does so with as much love and respect as possible. It dosen't matter who your mom is, its hard to go a life time without one.:frown:

yeah, I wasn't born there, but I consider it my home because my family lives there. I lived out there for about ten years.

Evo, do you remember Anna Nicole defending her slurring speech by blaming it on her Texas drawl? :smile: What a bunch of horse hockey! She might have fooled a few Yankees but we know better! :approve:

The billionaire second husband apparently died in 1995, after 13 months of marriage. The billionaire son contested Ms. Smith's right to any of the old man's estate.

If anything, I think it's a discussion of sociology or cultural anthropology.

To me, Anna Nicole Smith was a caricature of Hollywood and fame, and what it does to people, and what they will do to get here. Maybe not relevant to you guys, but this is my city, and I am familiar with its industry and its ways. We're all about shiny facades plastered onto eroded foundations - from our delapidated theaters to the 45-year-old actors still trying to get a role on "Days of Our Lives" after 20 years of extra work. We are a botoxed culture in every aspect because beauty and youth and "image" is our currency. The up-keep takes its toll, and every earned cent is reinvested in the facade and not the foundation.

Aside from that, I really don't understand why so many of the news reports compare her to Marilyn Monroe, when ultimately she was more the Jayne Mansfield type. Her true gift was self-exploitation.

And BTW, I like Krystal hamburgers very much!:smile:

I'm watching a news show and her supposed "best friend" that was with her this whole time said that Anna Nicole was very ill the past few days with a fever reaching 105 and that they gave her an ice bath to bring her fever down, that she was too weak to stand and vomiting. But that the next day her fever had gone down to 100, but then she fainted in the bathroom and hit her head, but they checked her and didn't see any immediate signs of bruising.

WHAT?

Why wasn't she taken to the hospital?? A temperature of 105 is extremely serious. Her symptoms were serious.

I hope these people are held accountable for her death. How stupid can you be?

When a person is this ill, you get them medical attention, yet not one person tried to get her to a doctor.

To take the most cynical stance (perhaps not unreasonable, though) if you are leeching off a dumb but rich lady, are you going to put her in the hands of the authorities, who might actually recognize the signs of drug abuse and try to help her? There is a legal battle going on right now between at least three guys who are claiming to be the father of her infant girl, so that they can grab the money that she "inherited" from the decrepit billionaire that she hooked up with. NOT GOOD!

True, but i guess that's inherent to human nature. I mean, we have had people like A.N. Smith in every day and age and in every society. It is not just a Hollywood fenomenon. The only Hollywoodian aspect is the fact that for some reason, she got very famous.

I don't really have the inside track on Hollywood but it seems to me that you are right. I don't understand why people throw away everything to become an actor. I am an aspiring actor myself but i would NEVER have dropped out of college or quit my job to get into acting. If you are smart, you construct a "real life" and do the acting on the side as a hobby. I truly believe that if you are any good, people will notice you. The only thing you can do is try to get your name out there, show people what you can. But that does not change the fact that i would NEVER want to spend my days as an extra on the set. You need to go for low profile projects in which you get the chance to act, in stead of being an extra on popular shows.

I heard that she had a high fever which preceded her being unconsious. Certainly, she should have been in hospital.

Apparently she had a private nurse. Her boyfriend or common-law husband was also with her. She had flu-like symptoms for days! What were these people thinking?

The vultures are circling is right. The only thing that will be more offensive than the train wreck of that woman's life will be the scum of the Earth coming out of hiding trying to get a piece of the oil billionaire's money. Two words are coming to mind that will desscribe the E! channel for the next year...circus act.
