Medical Are Peanut Allergies Overdiagnosed in Children?

AI Thread Summary
Peanut allergies are a significant health concern, with the immune system reacting strongly to peanuts, potentially leading to severe anaphylaxis. The exact cause of peanut allergies remains unknown, but recent discussions highlight that avoiding peanuts during early childhood may inadvertently increase the risk of developing these allergies. Additionally, many children diagnosed with food allergies may not actually have them, as they are often not retested after outgrowing them. Early introduction of peanuts, such as through peanut butter, is being considered as a preventive measure against developing allergies.

Another side note to this.. It turns out that a lot of allergies that are being reported https://www.fastcoexist.com/3056860/most-school-kids-who-report-food-allergies-dont-have-them. Kids get diagnosed at a very young age, and never get retested after outgrowing the allergy.

Got my baby boy on the Peanut Butter already. He cannot be a Kotschessa and not eat peanut butter.

The study provides critical new insights into the African Humid Period, a time between 14,500 and 5,000 years ago when the Sahara desert was a green savanna, rich in water bodies that facilitated human habitation and the spread of pastoralism. Later aridification turned this region into the world's largest desert. Due to the extreme aridity of the region today, DNA preservation is poor, making this pioneering ancient DNA study all the more significant. Genomic analyses reveal that the...
Whenever these opiods are mentioned they usually mention that e.g. fentanyl is "50 times stronger than heroin" and "100 times stronger than morphine". Now it's nitazene which the public is told is everything from "much stronger than heroin" and "200 times stronger than fentany"! Do these numbers make sense at all? How do they arrive at them? Kill thousands of mice? En passant: nitazene have already been found in both Oxycontin pills and in street "heroin" here, so Naloxone is more...
