Studying Are there any resources for studying calculus and physics?

AI Thread Summary
Year one students seeking additional practice in calculus and introductory physics can benefit from a variety of resources beyond their school's current offerings of Webwork and MasteringPhysics. Recommended strategies include utilizing textbooks that typically contain a wealth of exercises. Many affordable used or prior-edition textbooks are available on platforms like Amazon, often for just a few dollars. Checking local or school libraries for these resources is also advisable. A specific textbook mentioned is the University Physics 11th edition, which is noted for its usefulness and affordability when searched directly rather than through specific links.

I am in year one, hope to get more exercises to work on practice...
especially in calculus and physics (introductory level)
My school is already provide webwork and masteringphysics as homework, but I don't think they are enough...(limited number of questions only...)
Are there any more resources or recommendation for studying?
Thanks.

Any Calculus and Physics textbooks appropriate to your level should have plenty of questions for you to answer. If you don't already have these, you can find thousands of used, prior-edition textbooks on Amazon for very, very cheap (a few dollars or less). Or you could check your local/school library and see if they have any textbooks.

I have the 12th edition of this textbook and found it useful: https://www.amazon.com/dp/0805391797/?tag=pfamazon01-20

Edit: Hmm, when I click on the link, the prices are waaaay off. There are plenty for sale for around 6 dollars, but if I use the link it only shows a few for sale and all are 30 dollars or more. Just do a search for the title (University Physics 11th edition) and you should easily find the cheap ones.

Hey, I am Andreas from Germany. I am currently 35 years old and I want to relearn math and physics. This is not one of these regular questions when it comes to this matter. So... I am very realistic about it. I know that there are severe contraints when it comes to selfstudy compared to a regular school and/or university (structure, peers, teachers, learning groups, tests, access to papers and so on) . I will never get a job in this field and I will never be taken serious by "real"...
Yesterday, 9/5/2025, when I was surfing, I found an article The Schwarzschild solution contains three problems, which can be easily solved - Journal of King Saud University - Science ABUNDANCE ESTIMATION IN AN ARID ENVIRONMENT https://jksus.org/the-schwarzschild-solution-contains-three-problems-which-can-be-easily-solved/ that has the derivation of a line element as a corrected version of the Schwarzschild solution to Einstein’s field equation.
