There is already a thread going in General Engineering where people are saying what they are thankful to NASA for https://www.physicsforums.com/showthread.php?t=512879, it also contains links to places showing what spin offs NASA has generated.

Personally I think one of the biggest achievements of NASA is aesthetic, it's inspired generations of scientists and non-scientists alike and shown what we can do when enough brains and resources are put together.
