In summary, the conversation is about a project related to quantum cryptography and the need for source code for a quantum key distribution algorithm. The other person suggests looking for information about the BB84 protocol online and a quick Google search leads to a possible solution, but the person is unsure if it meets the requirements. The original person thanks them but states that it is not what they are looking for and they have already come across it. They suggest checking the code by inspecting it since it is written in Java.

What do you mean by source code? Do you mean a piece of code that simulates a QKD protocol?
You should be able to find plenty of information about e.g. the BB84 protocol online.

well thanks for the information... But piece of code to simulate QKD protocol will also be appreciated

A quick Google search pointed me to https://www.qkdsimulator.com/
I have no idea if it is any good and/or is what you need.
Thanks very much, not really what am looking for..., i think i have come across this stuff

You can check the code by mouse right click and check the code and inspect since the programs are written in Java.

1. What is QKD?

QKD stands for Quantum Key Distribution, which is a method for securely sending and receiving encrypted messages using principles of quantum mechanics.

2. Why do I need source code for QKD?

Source code is needed to implement QKD protocols and algorithms in practical applications. It allows for customization and optimization of the QKD process.

3. Where can I find source code for QKD?

Source code for QKD can be found on various online platforms such as GitHub, arXiv, and research publications. It can also be obtained from universities or research institutions that are working on QKD projects.

4. Is QKD open-source?

Yes, there are many open-source QKD implementations available for use. However, some QKD algorithms and protocols may have patents or proprietary restrictions.

5. Can I use any source code for QKD in my project?

It is important to check the licensing and usage restrictions for each specific source code before using it in a project. Some may have specific requirements or limitations for commercial use.
