Can I delete my threads somehow?

I want to ask whether I can delete the threads that I have started. As long as I see there isn't any option like this. Can someone give me more information about this?

Just click the Report button on your post, and ask the Mentors to delete it.

Note that we do not delete threads that have replies.

You agreed to Physics Forums Rules when you registered. These rules state

I want to thank those members who interacted with me a couple of years ago in two Optics Forum threads. They were @Drakkith, @hutchphd, @Gleb1964, and @KAHR-Alpha. I had something I wanted the scientific community to know and slipped a new idea in against the rules. Thank you also to @berkeman for suggesting paths to meet with academia.
