Can We Create an Electric Field Blocking Material Like Mu-Metal?

AI Thread Summary
Creating a material that blocks electric fields, similar to how mu-metal blocks magnetic fields, is a complex challenge. The discussion highlights the need for a material that can absorb electric fields while containing a highly permeable magnetic material. A grounded conducting sheet is suggested as a viable solution for blocking electric fields. Concerns are raised about the potential for the electric field to magnetize the shielding material. Overall, the feasibility of developing such a specialized electric field blocking material remains uncertain.

Is it possible to create a material that will block an electric field like mu-metal blocks magnetic fields?

The trouble is, I want a material that can absorb an electric field (because i have a material with a very high magnetic permeability and i don't want a magnetic field ) but the electric field outside the "box" (i am thinking of making a box made of the electric shielding material with the magnetic material inside it) is very high, and i don't want the electric field magnetizing the electric shielding (which is likely to be magnetized because the electric field is very high).

Thread 'Motional EMF in Faraday disc, co-rotating magnet axial mean flux'
So here is the motional EMF formula. Now I understand the standard Faraday paradox that an axis symmetric field source (like a speaker motor ring magnet) has a magnetic field that is frame invariant under rotation around axis of symmetry. The field is static whether you rotate the magnet or not. So far so good. What puzzles me is this , there is a term average magnetic flux or "azimuthal mean" , this term describes the average magnetic field through the area swept by the rotating Faraday...
