AI Thread Summary
The discussion revolves around the issues faced with a new NiMH battery that has weakened significantly, unable to hold a charge for more than five minutes despite efforts to maintain its power above 80%. The primary concern is the "memory effect," a phenomenon where the battery loses its maximum energy capacity due to improper charging practices. The advice given emphasizes the importance of allowing the battery to fully discharge before recharging to prevent further degradation. Understanding the chemistry behind battery performance is crucial for maintaining optimal functionality.

I bought a new cell.
I never let the power go below 80%.
Now the cell(power) has become weak.
It can't even withstand for 5mins with full power.
What was the mistake i made ?
Did i overcharge my cell ?
I don't understand the chemistry behind that!
Can anybody explain ?

I found a similar documentary in English called The Human Cost of AI: Data workers in the Global South. There is also an interview with Milagros Miceli (appearing in both documentaries) on Youtube: I also found a powerpoint presentation by the economist Uma Rani (appearing in the French documentary), AI...
