For really general questions like this, if you seriously can't find anything in your notes or textbook, its very simple to search terms like "monic" and "completing the square" into Google! We are here for specific help, when you are stuck on a question that you have given a serious attempt to!
 
yes, there are notes, but i didn't completely understand them as the lacked detail, even if you could post the method, that would be fine... google hasnt been much of a help
 
I tried to combine those 2 formulas but it didn't work. I tried using another case where there are 2 red balls and 2 blue balls only so when combining the formula I got ##\frac{(4-1)!}{2!2!}=\frac{3}{2}## which does not make sense. Is there any formula to calculate cyclic permutation of identical objects or I have to do it by listing all the possibilities? Thanks
