AI Thread Summary
RC jets are highly regarded for their impressive performance and realistic features, including the distinct sound of the jet engine during flight. However, the cost of these airplanes, typically ranging from $10,000 to $20,000, places them out of reach for many enthusiasts. Despite the high price tag, many agree that the quality and experience they offer justify the investment.

I believe it was the summer of 2001 that I made a trip to Peru for my work. I was a private contractor doing automation engineering and programming for various companies, including Frito Lay. Frito had purchased a snack food plant near Lima, Peru, and sent me down to oversee the upgrades to the systems and the startup.
