AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers around the topic of dihydrogen monoxide (DHMO), which is presented as a dangerous substance that everyone should be aware of. The original poster emphasizes the importance of this issue and warns against contrarian views. However, participants quickly recognize that the concern over DHMO is based on a long-standing joke, highlighting its absurdity as a supposed threat. There is speculation about whether organizations have been formed to combat its perceived dangers, with a note that any claims about DHMO should be consistent and not conflated with unrelated issues like property damage. Overall, the conversation reveals a mix of humor and skepticism regarding the exaggerated portrayal of DHMO.
