Data Sources for Vaccination and Covid-19 cases by Age

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The discussion focuses on the availability of up-to-date data sources for COVID-19 vaccinations and cases in the United States, specifically segmented by age and sex. Key resources include the CDC's COVID Data Tracker, which provides demographic information on vaccinations and COVID-19 cases. Users express a need for raw data to facilitate analysis, as the aggregated data is inconsistently grouped across different categories, complicating comparative studies. The conversation highlights the importance of reliable data for understanding vaccine demographics and COVID-19 impacts.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of COVID-19 vaccination data and demographics
  • Familiarity with CDC resources and data tracking tools
  • Knowledge of data analysis techniques for demographic studies
  • Awareness of public health statistics and reporting standards
NEXT STEPS
  • Explore the CDC COVID Data Tracker for detailed vaccination and case demographics
  • Research methodologies for analyzing public health data
  • Investigate studies estimating adverse events related to COVID-19
  • Learn about data aggregation techniques for demographic analysis
USEFUL FOR

Public health researchers, data analysts, epidemiologists, and anyone involved in studying COVID-19 vaccination impacts and demographics.

Is there an up to data source of data on the number of vaccines administered in the US by age and sex? And similarly is there up to date information on the number of Covid-19 cases by age and sex, as well as number of adverse events from Covid-19 infection?

This site has info on COVID-19 vaccine demographics: https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#vaccination-demographic

Similarly it has demographic data for COVID-19 cases: https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#demographics

Hopspitalizations and deaths from COVID-19 would probably have nationwide statistics available (e.g. from the CDC site), but I'm not sure if data on other specific adverse events would be available (though there are plenty of studies that estimate their frequency).
I wish there was raw data I could find. The aggregated data by age is grouped differently for cases, vaccinations, and adverse events, which makes it incompatible for analysis.
