AI Thread Summary
Evercookie and permanent cookies are increasingly used by websites to make cookie removal challenging. Browser add-ons exist that can effectively erase or block these persistent cookies. One such add-on mentioned is Self-Destructing Cookies for Firefox, which is reported to work well for users. A significant issue with these add-ons is that they may require users to re-enter credentials on websites unless those sites are whitelisted, raising questions about the balance between privacy and convenience. Overall, while these tools can enhance privacy by managing cookies, they may also lead to more frequent logins.

I've been learning about Evercookie and permanent cookies that websites will use nowadays to make it very difficult to remove a cookie.

But I've heard of browser add-ons that can erase/block these permanent cookies.

Anyone use them and/or know of a reputable one they'd be open to sharing? Any pros/cons?

Yes, I do use a cookie eraser: Self-Destructing Cookies. It is an add-on in Firefox. Don't know if it is the best nor the worst, but it works for me.
It is amazing how many cookies (permanent or not) get onto your system from third parties you've never ever heard about. The main con there is: you'll be asked to enter your credentials every time unless you whitelist the site. But is that really a con.

Thread 'ChatGPT Examples, Good and Bad'
I've been experimenting with ChatGPT. Some results are good, some very very bad. I think examples can help expose the properties of this AI. Maybe you can post some of your favorite examples and tell us what they reveal about the properties of this AI. (I had problems with copy/paste of text and formatting, so I'm posting my examples as screen shots. That is a promising start. But then I provided values V=1, R1=1, R2=2, R3=3 and asked for the value of I. At first, it said...
Sorry if 'Profile Badge' is not the correct term. I have an MS 365 subscription and I've noticed on my Word documents the small circle with my initials in it is sometimes different in colour document to document (it's the circle at the top right of the doc, that, when you hover over it it tells you you're signed in; if you click on it you get a bit more info). Last night I had four docs with a red circle, one with blue. When I closed the blue and opened it again it was red. Today I have 3...
