Does the new spinfoam models have a good semiclassical low energy large volume limit?

In summary, the conversation was about the benefits of exercise and how it can improve overall health and well-being. The speakers discussed the importance of finding a form of exercise that is enjoyable and sustainable, as well as the positive impact it can have on mental health. They also mentioned the role of proper nutrition in conjunction with exercise for optimal results.

By new I mean the new connections Rovelli have discussed as spinfoam 4d now talks to LQG.

* Carlo Rovelli - Looppy & Foammy: at long last, falling in love

Rovelli speaks of LQG dynamics as non-transparent, spinfoam dynamics as transparent.

The newer SF models in 4D have an immirizi parameter and the kinematics matches LQG.

1. What are spinfoam models?

Spinfoam models are a type of quantum gravity theory that attempts to reconcile the theories of general relativity and quantum mechanics. They are based on the idea that space and time are made up of discrete building blocks, rather than being continuous.

2. What is the semiclassical low energy limit?

The semiclassical low energy limit is a concept in physics that describes the behavior of a system in the presence of both quantum and classical effects. It is a limit in which both quantum and classical theories can be used to describe the behavior of the system, with the classical theory being dominant at large scales and the quantum theory being dominant at small scales.

3. How do spinfoam models relate to the semiclassical low energy limit?

Spinfoam models are still being studied and developed, but it is believed that they may have a good semiclassical low energy large volume limit. This means that in certain situations, the predictions of spinfoam models should match those of classical general relativity at large scales and quantum mechanics at small scales.

4. Why is the semiclassical low energy limit important for spinfoam models?

The semiclassical low energy limit is important for spinfoam models because it helps to validate their predictions and show that they are consistent with other established theories, such as general relativity. It also allows for a better understanding of the behavior of the models in different scales and regimes.

5. How is the semiclassical low energy limit being tested for spinfoam models?

Scientists are using various mathematical and computational techniques to test the predictions of spinfoam models and their behavior in the semiclassical low energy limit. This involves studying the models in different scenarios and comparing their results to those of classical general relativity and quantum mechanics, as well as conducting experiments and observations to test their predictions.
