hello every body I know before happening fireligh negative charge is downer than the positive charge but my question is why it happends?
The discussion revolves around the nature of electrical charges, specifically why negative charges are perceived as "downer" than positive charges, with a focus on lightning phenomena. The conversation includes elements of chemistry and atmospheric electricity.
Participants do not reach a consensus on the original question regarding the behavior of negative and positive charges, and the discussion remains unresolved with multiple competing views and clarifications about terminology.
There are limitations in the initial question's clarity, and the discussion includes misunderstandings regarding terminology, which may affect the depth of the exploration into the topic of electrical charges.

Integral said:Perhaps you mean lighting? That is electrical discharges in the atmosphere.
DaveC426913 said:OK, it's neither Integral's "lighting", nor Neo's "lightening".
Third time's a charm? Bob_S has it right with "lightning".

But lightning is already a word...Neo_Anderson said:Well whoever was put in charge of spelling words of the English language got it wrong! Now you guys see why I posted that "Why I Can't Stand the English Language" thread in the General Discussion forum?
