AI Thread Summary
The discussion explores the possibility that physical laws may evolve over time, similar to biological evolution. It raises questions about the values of physical constants and whether there could be a fundamental algorithm governing physics. A referenced study suggests that physical laws might vary based on location in the universe, hinting at space-time's complexity. The conversation highlights the scientific community's openness to the idea of changing fundamental constants, leading to precise experiments aimed at measuring these constants. Ultimately, the goal is to determine if these constants change over time or to establish limits on how much they can vary.

What if physics laws are also evolving and changing with time?

Like we have evolution in living species, may be we have evolution also in physics laws. (Better one lives, worser one dies) After all, in scientifically speaking, why we have that certain values for physical constants than another certain value? There may be more fundamental algorithm like evolution, or something similar that governs physics?

I have read a study about physics laws may be change according to where you've been in universe. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/09/100909004112.htm
But it concerns about space-difference. (actually since space-time is a composite structure, it may eventually include time)

However, although it may explain the constants, same question would be asked for the formulas. Would it be the same answer?

Scientists are already open to the idea that fundamental things may change over time. This is one of the reasons for the many ultra precise experiments that aim at measuring the fundamental constants, such as the fine structure constant, to an extreme amount of digits. By having a very accurate value of them, one hope to be able to detect if any of them are changing over time, or if not, at least put a boundry on small the change can be.

I think it's easist first to watch a short vidio clip I find these videos very relaxing to watch .. I got to thinking is this being done in the most efficient way? The sand has to be suspended in the water to move it to the outlet ... The faster the water , the more turbulance and the sand stays suspended, so it seems to me the rule of thumb is the hose be aimed towards the outlet at all times .. Many times the workers hit the sand directly which will greatly reduce the water...
