I think the new approach is good. However, I think it is still helpful to be able to control default settings on a settings page.

I've noticed some posts seem to disappear if I refresh my "Home" page - need to go to the friend's page that posted to respond or read comments.

I believe it was the summer of 2001 that I made a trip to Peru for my work. I was a private contractor doing automation engineering and programming for various companies, including Frito Lay.
