AI Thread Summary
To find and fix a file path in Windows, access the Control Panel and navigate to Performance and Maintenance, then click on System. In the System window, go to the Advanced tab and select the "Environment Variables" button. Here, you can view and edit the system variables, including the PATH variable, which is crucial for applications like compilers. Users can also right-click "My Computer," select Properties, and follow the same steps to reach the Environment Variables section. This process allows for appending or correcting the file path as needed.

Since you're asking the question I presume you are using Windows. Go to Control Panel, click on Performance and Maintenance then click System. In the popup window that appears, click on the Advanced tab and, finally, click on the "environment variables" button.

You can append (or edit) the correct path for your particular application to the list of paths appearing in the system variables in the lower pane.

And we were told GUI would SIMPLIFY computers! LoL!

Thanks Tide, i would never have worked that out.

I still can't find the file path for my compiler, i have looked in the enviromental
variables, i am using win 2000 pro, but i am not sure what to look for, any help
please.

Here's another way:

Right-click "My Computer" -> Properties -> Advanced -> Environment Variables -> System Variables -> Path will show you the current PATH variable, which you can change there.

Thanks robphy.

In my discussions elsewhere, I've noticed a lot of disagreement regarding AI. A question that comes up is, "Is AI hype?" Unfortunately, when this question is asked, the one asking, as far as I can tell, may mean one of three things which can lead to lots of confusion. I'll list them out now for clarity. 1. Can AI do everything a human can do and how close are we to that? 2. Are corporations and governments using the promise of AI to gain more power for themselves? 3. Are AI and transhumans...
Thread 'ChatGPT Examples, Good and Bad'
I've been experimenting with ChatGPT. Some results are good, some very very bad. I think examples can help expose the properties of this AI. Maybe you can post some of your favorite examples and tell us what they reveal about the properties of this AI. (I had problems with copy/paste of text and formatting, so I'm posting my examples as screen shots. That is a promising start. But then I provided values V=1, R1=1, R2=2, R3=3 and asked for the value of I. At first, it said...
