Homework Help Overview

The discussion revolves around calculating the total force exerted on vertical windows of a submerged marine biology observation pod, with a focus on fluid pressure and its variation with depth. The context involves understanding the principles of fluid mechanics, particularly in relation to water density and pressure calculations.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory, Conceptual clarification, Mathematical reasoning

Approaches and Questions Raised

  • Participants explore the need for integration in calculating total force and question how water pressure varies with depth. Some express uncertainty about their calculations and seek clarification on the application of integration.

Discussion Status

The discussion includes attempts to solve the problem using integration, with some participants sharing their progress and seeking feedback on their methods. There is acknowledgment of a specific answer provided by a professor, but not all participants agree on their results, indicating an ongoing exploration of the problem.

Contextual Notes

Participants are working under the constraints of a homework assignment, which may limit the information they can share or the methods they can use. There is a focus on understanding the varying pressure acting on the windows at different depths.

YES

I solve all of them except F and the professor said the final answer should be 11099.9N but I didn't get that
