AI Thread Summary
A group of Aerospace Engineering students at the Florida Institute of Technology is seeking guidance on designing and manufacturing a fuel injection system for a liquid fuel rocket engine. They have secured funding for a large-scale engine and possess the necessary skills for the project. The students are looking for advice from experienced professionals to enhance their existing design. Engaging with NASA is suggested, as they offer programs supporting university research and have extensive experience in liquid fuel injection systems. Collaboration with NASA could provide valuable insights and potential benefits for both parties.

We are a group of students at the Florida Institute of Technology looking for information on fuel injection systems/manufacturing advice/design advice/any kind of advice that would be imperative to the design of a fuel injection system for a liquid fuel rocket engine. We have funding for a large scale engine but we need aid in the manufacturing of the fuel injection system. We are all Aerospace Engineering students who have the knowledge and skill to work on this project, so there is no need to worry. We have a design but wanted advice from experienced individuals.

Have you approached NASA? They have a number of programs to help university research, particularly as they both have broad experience with liquid fuel injection, and are potential beneficiaries from any advances in the technology.

Due to the constant never ending supply of "cool stuff" happening in Aerospace these days I'm creating this thread to consolidate posts every time something new comes along. Please feel free to add random information if its relevant. So to start things off here is the SpaceX Dragon launch coming up shortly, I'll be following up afterwards to see how it all goes. https://blogs.nasa.gov/spacex/
