A Galaxy dynamics explained without DM or MOND

AI Thread Summary
A discovery has been made that could explain galaxy rotation curves without invoking dark matter or modifying Newtonian dynamics, with similar findings reported by Kenneth F Nicholson and Dilip G. Banhatti. These independent papers suggest that the observed flat or rising galaxy rotational velocities can be accounted for by the baryonic matter present in galaxies. However, the discussion was closed due to the unpublished status of the work and concerns about opening the forum to personal theories. The referenced papers are over ten years old and have not been published in scientific journals, raising doubts about their validity. The thread emphasizes the importance of peer review and established publication standards in scientific discourse.

I have been working on a discovery that could explain galaxy rotation curve without dark matter or modification of Newtonian dynamics. However, I was unable to make any comment within this forum since this was unpublished work. However, the same discovery has been made independently by Kenneth F Nicholson (astro-ph/0309762 v2) and Dilip G. Banhatti (arXiv:0806.1131v4). I found these references in an article by James T. Dwyer entitled, ‘Inappropriate Application of Kepler’s Empirical Laws of Planetary Motion to Spiral Galaxies Created the Perceived Galaxy Rotation Problem – Thereby Establishing a Galactic Presence for the Elusive, Inferred Dark Matter’, (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/James_Dwyer/publication). These two papers explain the flat or sometimes rising galaxy rotational velocities using the baryonic matter known to be present in a galaxy, thereby eliminating the need for exotic matter or any modification of known physics.

This is one of our most basic rules.

Which are - as far as I could see - also unpublished w.r.t. a scientific journal. Furthermore, there haven't even been endorsements of the two papers.

Which is a thesis, i.e. required to be published.

We do not want to open the gates for all kind of personal theories, so I close this thread.

The two papers you mentioned are roughly ten years old, which is a long time to seek a publication opportunity. The fact, that they weren't make me think, that they've failed several professional review processes which is more than we can provide.

TL;DR Summary: In 3 years, the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) telescope (or rather, a system of telescopes) should be put into operation. In case of failure to detect alien signals, it will further expand the radius of the so-called silence (or rather, radio silence) of the Universe. Is there any sense in this or is blissful ignorance better? In 3 years, the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) telescope (or rather, a system of telescopes) should be put into operation. Thread 'Could gamma-ray bursts have an intragalactic origin?'
This is indirectly evidenced by a map of the distribution of gamma-ray bursts in the night sky, made in the form of an elongated globe. And also the weakening of gamma radiation by the disk and the center of the Milky Way, which leads to anisotropy in the possibilities of observing gamma-ray bursts. My line of reasoning is as follows: 1. Gamma radiation should be absorbed to some extent by dust and other components of the interstellar medium. As a result, with an extragalactic origin, fewer...
