AI Thread Summary
Galileo invented a device to measure the time period of a pendulum, commonly referred to as a pendulum clock. Initially, he used his pulse to time pendula, particularly in a church setting. The specific name of the machine he created is not widely known and has been forgotten by many. The discussion highlights the obscurity of this invention, suggesting that it is recognized by even fewer people today. The conversation emphasizes the historical significance of Galileo's contributions to timekeeping.

You mean, the pendulum clock?

Actually, Gallileo used his pulse to time pendula (actually, I believe, candelabra in a church).

He did use his pulse to time pendula. But thereafter he invented a mechine too.
Someone told me the name of the mechine , but I have forgotten it.
He also told me that it was known to very few person.
Thank You.

So it's now known to even fewer person

comparing a flat solar panel of area 2π r² and a hemisphere of the same area, the hemispherical solar panel would only occupy the area π r² of while the flat panel would occupy an entire 2π r² of land. wouldn't the hemispherical version have the same area of panel exposed to the sun, occupy less land space and can therefore increase the number of panels one land can have fitted? this would increase the power output proportionally as well. when I searched it up I wasn't satisfied with...
