Generating Electricity from an Aeroplane Flight

AI Thread Summary
Electricity can potentially be generated from an airplane flight due to the Earth's magnetic field inducing an electromotive force (EMF) in the wings. The feasibility of harnessing this EMF for electricity generation is under discussion. The formula phi = BA involves understanding when to use sine or cosine, which relates to the angle of the magnetic field relative to the area vector. Additionally, the voltage in a DC generator remains constant because it is determined by the design and speed of the generator, limiting its variability. Overall, the conversation explores the intersection of physics and practical applications in aviation electricity generation.

Throughout the journey of an aeroplane flight, the magnetic field of the Earth will induce and electro motive force in the wings. Is it possible to generate electricty from this EMF?

Also I am wondering when to use sin or cos.. for the formula phi = BA

Why can't the voltage in a DC generator be changed?

I think it's easist first to watch a short vidio clip I find these videos very relaxing to watch .. I got to thinking is this being done in the most efficient way? The sand has to be suspended in the water to move it to the outlet ... The faster the water , the more turbulance and the sand stays suspended, so it seems to me the rule of thumb is the hose be aimed towards the outlet at all times .. Many times the workers hit the sand directly which will greatly reduce the water...
