Looking for a Good Book on Functions?

In summary, the conversation discusses the need for a book on functions that explains basic concepts and is calculus oriented. The books available at the local library are too advanced and similar to textbooks. Hi

I need a good book ( general ) on functions. I searched in the local library but those books are like school textbooks. Is there is any book explaining the basic concepts and ideas of functions ? It will be better if it is calculus oriented.

Thank you.

Functions are used in all kinds of math - you tend to study functions of specific types, like real, complex, bounded linear functionals, measures, etc.

Stewart's Calculus is a good introduction to functions. Understanding Analysis by Abbott is a good, detailed, proof based book on this subject.
