AI Thread Summary
In the discussion, a user encountered a latex issue while trying to use HTML-like commands within latex, specifically regarding the formatting of text. The correct approach suggested involves adding a space after the opening bracket to ensure proper rendering. Previously, users could utilize noparse tags for similar formatting, but this feature has been replaced by the [plain] tag, which serves to display text without parsing it. An example provided illustrates how to format text correctly using the new [plain] tag in conjunction with latex commands.

I usually use [ B] (add space after opening bracket).

In the past it was possible to use noparse tags, but at some point they stopped to work.

We have [plain] instead of noparse now.
[itex[/color]][A][plain][B][/plain][C][/itex] -> [A][B][C]
