I've heard of this book before, "The Guns of August", actually I heard it referenced in a movie, and thought it sounded kind of interesting. Has anyone in here read it, and could recommend or not recommend reading it?

I have read it, though it was some years ago and I do not recall the details. It is a very good read. Barbara Tuschman (sp ?) is an execellent author, it is worth reading any of her works. A Distant Mirror is very good also.

Thanks, I'll have to check out that other one too.
