How can a scout remove permanent pen before an inspection?

AI Thread Summary
A scout is preparing for an important inspection but has a permanent pen mark on his arm that cannot be removed for a week. To address this issue, his mother suggests a simple solution: covering the mark with a bandage or plaster. This approach would lead the inspection leaders to believe the scout has an injury rather than trying to hide the pen mark. The discussion highlights the cleverness of using a bandage as a disguise for the mark, ensuring the scout can present himself well during the inspection.

Here is the latest in my brain teasers.

A scout has a big inspection tomorrow and needs to look his best. His uniform is perfect and his mind is working well for question from the leaders. Unfortunately he has got permanent pen on his arm were the scout uniform does not cover it over. He cannot get rid of the pen for at least a week.

His mother comes up with an idea.

What does she do? (think simple and logically)

It is very simple but here it is anyway.

What's a "permanent pen" ? Something like a tattoo ? And does it matter where it is on his arm ?

A permanent pen means the mark on the scouts arm will not come off by water or using brushes for a week.

It is on the hand then (for ease) and can be seen by all, but must not be there for top marks in the inspection.

How about dressing the area with bandage to simulate a wound ?

Well Done Gokul43201 (by the way are you male or female?). This is correct. Either a bandage or a plaster as the scout leads will assume they have fallen and that this is to stop infection and not as a cover up.

Well Done

P.S. That was too easy.
