So I'm in 10 grade and have pretty good grades and a GPA of 3.625, but I was concerned about getting accepted into college for engineering. Some of the kids in my engineeeing and physics class are crazy smart and that concerns me for futurely applying to college. My dad is a mechanical engineer and I also want to be one, just wondering what I should do to get guarantee acceptance and maybe scholarship money. I was thinking of going to a public university. Let me know your thoughts, thanks

There is no guarantee on anything in life.

Your GPA isn't going to stop you for getting accepted into an engineering program, it's actually quite good. Apply for schools in your senior year and see what happens.

Hey, I am Andreas from Germany. I am currently 35 years old and I want to relearn math and physics. This is not one of these regular questions when it comes to this matter. So... I am very realistic about it. I know that there are severe contraints when it comes to selfstudy compared to a regular school and/or university (structure, peers, teachers, learning groups, tests, access to papers and so on) . I will never get a job in this field and I will never be taken serious by "real"...
