AI Thread Summary
Creating a world of genetically different females through sexual reproduction poses challenges due to the nature of human genetics. Cloning, which involves creating a genetically identical organism from a single cell, does not produce genetic diversity. The cloning process typically involves somatic cell nuclear transfer, where the nucleus of a donor cell is inserted into an egg cell from which the nucleus has been removed. This results in a clone, lacking genetic variation. The discussion also touches on meiosis, the process of cell division that produces gametes (sperm and eggs), which introduces genetic diversity through recombination. However, the question remains on how to generate a population of genetically distinct females solely through these methods.

i was thinking of cloning, but do genetically different beings come out of cloning? what is the process of cloing in brief?

thanks

Think about mitosis...

as in split one person into two? so it is taking a cell and splitting it into two and two and two so that you get a person?

My bad (while since my bio classes), MEIOSIS

so take one egg and let it divide into 4 after inserting a sperm into it, then get a person?

The study provides critical new insights into the African Humid Period, a time between 14,500 and 5,000 years ago when the Sahara desert was a green savanna, rich in water bodies that facilitated human habitation and the spread of pastoralism. Later aridification turned this region into the world's largest desert. Due to the extreme aridity of the region today, DNA preservation is poor, making this pioneering ancient DNA study all the more significant. Genomic analyses reveal that the...
Whenever these opiods are mentioned they usually mention that e.g. fentanyl is "50 times stronger than heroin" and "100 times stronger than morphine". Now it's nitazene which the public is told is everything from "much stronger than heroin" and "200 times stronger than fentany"! Do these numbers make sense at all? How do they arrive at them? Kill thousands of mice? En passant: nitazene have already been found in both Oxycontin pills and in street "heroin" here, so Naloxone is more...
