AI Thread Summary
Google generates substantial revenue primarily through its advertising model, which leverages targeted advertisements that align with user search queries. When users search for specific terms, Google displays relevant ads alongside the search results, enhancing the effectiveness of these ads. This targeted approach allows Google to charge advertisers more for ad placements compared to other platforms. Despite concerns about profitability versus hype, Google's profits have been increasing significantly, contributing to a rising share price. The combination of effective advertising strategies and a growing user base underpins Google's financial success.

And the profits of Google are increasing at an unusual rate lately.

Can AI do everything a human can do and how close are we to that? 2. Are corporations and governments using the promise of AI to gain more power for themselves? 3. Are AI and transhumans...
Thread 'ChatGPT Examples, Good and Bad'
I've been experimenting with ChatGPT. Some results are good, some very very bad. I think examples can help expose the properties of this AI. That is a promising start. But then I provided values V=1, R1=1, R2=2, R3=3 and asked for the value of I. At first, it said...
