AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on estimating the speed of an object seen in a video at around 1:51, which could be a jet, bird, or UFO. Participants note that without knowing the distance from the camera, accurately determining the speed is challenging. One estimate suggests the object could be traveling around 600 mph, but this remains speculative. The difficulty lies in identifying the object's size and speed based on the camera's angle and perspective. Ultimately, the conversation highlights the limitations of making precise speed assessments without additional data.

Homework Statement

I want to know how fast this jet, bird, UFO is traveling at around 1:51. It appears to the right of Dana's head in the interview.

EDIT: I guess this forum doesn't do embedding?

Homework Equations

No idea, but here's a screenshot from the video.

The Attempt at a Solution

Around 600 mph?

It is too hard to find out its speed without knowing distance from camera, if it is a jet, you *may* guess its size and speed may be obtained with cameras view angle, but it is too hard to find. There may only be guesses i think.

Estimations are what I'm looking for anyways, I just want someone to either rule out a bird.

Kindly see the attached pdf. My attempt to solve it, is in it. I'm wondering if my solution is right. My idea is this: At any point of time, the ball may be assumed to be at an incline which is at an angle of θ(kindly see both the pics in the pdf file). The value of θ will continuously change and so will the value of friction. I'm not able to figure out, why my solution is wrong, if it is wrong .
Thread 'Voltmeter readings for this circuit with switches'
TL;DR Summary: I would like to know the voltmeter readings on the two resistors separately in the picture in the following cases , When one of the keys is closed When both of them are opened (Knowing that the battery has negligible internal resistance) My thoughts for the first case , one of them must be 12 volt while the other is 0 The second case we'll I think both voltmeter readings should be 12 volt since they are both parallel to the battery and they involve the key within what the...
