Lol, I think my knowledge of networking, and the fact that I build my computers, and study on Friday nights did it for me :P

Overall, you scored as follows:

14% scored higher (more nerdy),
1% scored the same, and
85% scored lower (less nerdy).

Some of the questions were pretty funny. It's fairly easy to distinguish which answers will score the most "nerd points", though. Cute test.

I have to agree about it being dated. No questions about cell phone usage, apps, etc. My score would definitely have been lower in that case since I don't even have one. Pretty unusual for someone who works as a programmer.

Those are such big lies. :| I'm apart of the group of people in the back row of a classroom being called the "cheap seats" cause we're so obviously distracting everyone else. But then again, we would be playing a deviated version of double D, but that's only slightly nerdy. And what makes you think knowing all the elements on the periodic table make you MIT material?

A new question for the quiz:

"How often do you necropost in 4-year-dead threads and not realize it?"
--Just this once
--Once per week
--Once per day
--Have I?

I am too nerdy to take that test, it is not nerdy enough and I will if asked break down how nerdy I am into distinct categories that defy testing by such a blunt tool.

To put it bluntly I am more nerdy than Wierd Al:

Mid-Level Nerd. Wow, it takes a lot of hard nerdy practice to reach this level.

But.. I'm not a nerd.

It ranked me in the 91st percentile, but I really doubt that's accurate.
I spend many hours at the gym every week and have never read comic books, sci fi, etc., and it seems the crowd self-identifying as nerd is doing little but perpetuate the highly inaccurate stereotype that intelligence is linked with social ineptitude and unhealthy obsessions.

38% scored higher (more nerdy),
1% scored the same, and
61% scored lower (less nerdy).

What does this mean? Your nerdiness is:

Low Ranking Nerd. Definitely a nerd but low on the totem pole of nerds.

Because, it is!

In popular culture, it is. But I question if it's real. I've known plenty of socially inept, unhealthy people who are...um, for lack of a more graceful term...dumb as tree stumps.

That is all.

Guys! I was just joking ! :D

I don't really know what intelligence is linked with.

Overall, you scored as follows:

30% scored higher (more nerdy),
1% scored the same, and
69% scored lower (less nerdy).

^^^I found the above statistics pretty unsurprising.

Now can somebody please give me examples of how to make the results of this survey more accurate? The reason I ask for this is because I personally think it is way too easy to manipulate the results of this survey since (at least for me) I figured out how to manipulate the results in a desired fashion (I make the results nerdier or less nerdier) by answering certain opinionated questions in a certain manner (for example, I can pick a larger or smaller Interval for the question on "Average Internet Usage Per Day" to make myself respectively seem nerdier or less nerdy.).

Maybe putting a strict time constraint on the quiz might make it easier to make the testee answer the questions more honestly? Does anybody have any suggestions on how to make the results of the quiz more reflective of what it is designed to measure?
