How to perform forced vibration analysis cal using ansys

AI Thread Summary
To perform forced vibration analysis of a flat rectangular plate in ANSYS, the user needs to create the model, mesh it, and apply the in-plane concentrated force along with appropriate boundary conditions. The challenge arises when the results obtained from modal analysis reflect natural frequencies rather than the expected forced response. The discussion emphasizes the importance of correctly setting up the analysis parameters and ensuring that the loads are applied properly. Users are encouraged to share their setup process for better guidance. Proper execution of these steps is crucial for achieving accurate results in forced modal analysis.

Hi,
My problem is that I have a flat rectangular plate acted by in-plane concentrated force. I want to do the forced modal analysis for 5 modes using ansys for this plate. Can anyone tell me how to do this.

Regards,
Sagar

Welcome to the PF.

Since this is your schoolwork assignment, how about you tell us how you think you should set this up...

Thanks for your query.

After creating the model, meshing, applying the loads and the boundary conditions and solving using modal analysis I'm getting the results same as the one without applying any loads ( natural frequency). I'm stuck at this point. Kindly guide me through this.
