AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers around humor related to artificial intelligence, referencing a satirical interview with a poltergeist and the limitations of AI in passing the Turing test. Participants find amusement in the notion that early AI programs, like PARRY, successfully mimicked a paranoid schizophrenic's responses, even fooling psychiatrists. The conversation highlights the irony of advanced AI still exhibiting traits that suggest a need for psychological evaluation, emphasizing the ongoing challenges in creating truly intelligent systems.

Fall colors are here, no mosquitos, no deer flies, and mild temperature, so my morning run was unusually nice. Only two meetings today, and both went well.
