Iron and steel industry flows: A question

Click For Summary
The discussion centers on the steel-making process, specifically the flows leading up to casting. The participant seeks validation of a flow diagram that illustrates the use of natural gas reforming to generate hydrogen for reducing iron ore. Feedback indicates that the proposed flow is generally accurate, with no major errors identified. Further review has led to a refined materials flow schematic. The conversation emphasizes the importance of clarity in representing industrial processes.

Hello, I have a general question for the flows of steel-making up to the casting process.

Is the general flow depicted by the image correct? This specific process relies on natural gas reforming to produce H2, which is then used to reduce iron ore. Are there any corrections that I have to make?

It is an explanatory table in broad strokes, I do not see any gross error that deserves correction

After some further reading/review, this is the latest materials flow schematic I'm going with:

Thread 'What is this metal insert for in a desk?'
This engineered wood table has metal inserts like this one fitted on the side and back boards, near the corners. Each board is 10 mm thick and the insert doesn't show on the other side of the board (the side facing outwards). I can also see an insert on the board that forms part of the chest of drawers, on the side supporting the drawers. They don't seem to be fasteners holding anything together. What would be the purpose of these?
