Is CED Still Relevant in Particle Physics? A EE and S/w Engineer's Perspective

Hello. I am an EE and s/w engineer having lifetime interest on physics. Currently making experiments about bound states of magnetic bodies using permanent magnets. Impressed by ideas of O.A. Barut, I think still there is room for CED in particle physics.
