The new Coldplay album X&Y is available for streaming on MTV Asia's website at a low bitrate of 64kbps, which has drawn criticism for its quality. Users can download the tracks locally using Linux with a specific command involving mplayer. There is frustration expressed over the excessive airplay of the new single, which some listeners find underwhelming compared to Coldplay's previous work. The current media focus on the band is perceived as overly favorable, leading to annoyance among some fans.

Ew. 64 kbps? What's the point?
