AI Thread Summary
Recent discussions highlight that advancements in astronomy make it increasingly difficult to believe humanity is alone in the universe. The mention of galaxies, particularly in the context of the Hubble Ultra Deep Field (HUDF), emphasizes the visibility of individual galaxies, which some find more compelling. However, the sheer number of galaxies—around 2 million—also suggests a vastness that supports the idea of extraterrestrial life. The debate reflects a fascination with both the quantity and quality of astronomical observations. This ongoing exploration continues to fuel curiosity about the existence of life beyond Earth.

This kind of science makes it kind of hard to believe we're alone. Those are galaxies.

Cool, but I still prefer the HUDF since you can see the individual galaxies.

Now that they have shared their findings with the larger community someone else might find an explanation - or maybe it was actually made by life.
TL;DR Summary: In 3 years, the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) telescope (or rather, a system of telescopes) should be put into operation. In case of failure to detect alien signals, it will further expand the radius of the so-called silence (or rather, radio silence) of the Universe. Is there any sense in this or is blissful ignorance better? In 3 years, the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) telescope (or rather, a system of telescopes) should be put into operation.
