AI Thread Summary
The compounds CH3-CH2-CH2-CH2-NH2 and CH3-CH-CH2-NH2 are being discussed to determine if they are metamers. Metamers are defined as compounds that have the same molecular formula but differ in the arrangement of alkyl groups around a functional group, in this case, an amine. The discussion suggests that since the two compounds have different alkyl groups attached to the amine, they qualify as metamers. The definition of metamers is confirmed through external sources, such as Wikipedia. Therefore, these two compounds can be classified as metamers.

The given compounds are:

CH3-CH2-CH2-CH2-NH2

CH3-CH-CH2-NH2
...|
...CH3

Are these two metamers ??

I think that they are. Because if two different alkyl groups are attached on either side of a particular group (Which is amine in this case) , they are metamers.

Well, whatg is the definition of "metamer". Do these satisfy that definition?

I think so! I consulted wiki.

I don't get how to argue it. i can prove: evolution is the ability to adapt, whether it's progression or regression from some point of view, so if evolution is not constant then animal generations couldn`t stay alive for a big amount of time because when climate is changing this generations die. but they dont. so evolution is constant. but its not an argument, right? how to fing arguments when i only prove it.. analytically, i guess it called that (this is indirectly related to biology, im...
