AI Thread Summary
The discussion revolves around a sequence of numbers presented as 34|48|21|25|74|57, with participants trying to identify a potential pattern or significance. The use of the vertical bars is confirmed to be part of the problem, although their meaning remains unclear. One participant suggests that the bars could imply a mathematical relationship, referencing the concept of divisibility, but acknowledges that this may not apply in this context. There is speculation about the arrangement of specific digits, particularly 4s, 2s, and 7s, as possibly holding significance. The conversation emphasizes the need for a simple approach to deciphering the sequence, with participants expressing uncertainty about the underlying logic.

does anyone reckognise this problem? I know I'm supposed to 'think simple' I don't know if it's a number pattern or what

34|48|21|25|74|57

and no it's not absolute value

Did you just put those there to separate the numbers or are they actually a part of the problem?

yes, they're part of the problem. I'm not sure if they have any significace or not

Well I have seen | used as, a | b, meaning a divides b. Which means that b = qa where q is an integer. However, that does not seem like it would apply here.

I know that math isn't involved

Maybe something with the way the 4s, 2s, and 7s are positioned? I'll post tomorrow and see if I can figure this out.
