Homework Help: Phase Space Graph

  1. Jan 27, 2008 #1
    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
Show Graphically the six dimensional phase-space volume element

    2. Relevant equations

    3. The attempt at a solution

I know that the phase space is supposed to incorporate 3 components of position and 3 components of momentum. Would an attempt at this question with a particle with its 3 components in the directional field and it 3 components of velocity all represented in a x, y, z coordiante system work

or does this need to look like a crazy image i am seeing all over the internet that i dont think i can draw
