Physics Curriculum: K-12 Education in Turkey

AI Thread Summary
A discussion emerged regarding the restructuring of the physics curriculum for K-12 education in Turkey. The original poster sought insights into the order of physics topics taught in other countries. Respondents highlighted that in high schools, various educational systems like A-Levels, the French Baccalaureate, and the International Baccalaureate (IB) have similar core physics curricula but differ in available options. The IB offers a broader range of topics, including medical physics and quantum mechanics. Suggestions included researching specific curricula by searching for "Physics A-Level specification" or "physics IB syllabus," which the original poster later confirmed they found helpful.

Here, in high schools, one of A-Levels, the French Baccalaureate and the International Baccalaureate is studied for. The Physics curriculum for each of those boards are fairly similar, however, there are distinct differences in the "options" available. There is much more choice in IB, with topics ranging from medical physics to intro quantum mechanics and astrophysics. I would suggest you take a look at their curriculum. Just google "Physics a-level specification" or "physics IB syllabus". :)

Dear Thy Apathy,
Thank you very much for your answer. I found it.

Hey, I am Andreas from Germany. I am currently 35 years old and I want to relearn math and physics. This is not one of these regular questions when it comes to this matter. So... I am very realistic about it. I know that there are severe contraints when it comes to selfstudy compared to a regular school and/or university (structure, peers, teachers, learning groups, tests, access to papers and so on) . I will never get a job in this field and I will never be taken serious by "real"...
