Im trying to understand physics and i was wondering if there were any good sites out there for beginning physics, like vectors, velocity, gravity, relative motion. Any help would be appreciated.
Vectors are physical quantities that have both magnitude (size) and direction. They are represented by arrows, with the direction of the arrow representing the direction of the vector and the length representing the magnitude.
Velocity is a vector quantity that describes the rate of change of an object's position. It includes both the speed and direction of an object's motion. Speed, on the other hand, is a scalar quantity that only describes how fast an object is moving, without taking into account direction.
Gravity is a fundamental force of nature that causes objects with mass to be attracted to each other. It is responsible for the motion of planets, stars, and other celestial bodies, as well as the motion of objects on Earth.
Gravity affects motion by exerting a force on objects with mass, causing them to accelerate towards each other. This acceleration is known as the acceleration due to gravity and is constant for a given gravitational field. It is responsible for the motion of objects falling towards the Earth's surface.
The laws of motion, also known as Newton's laws of motion, are three fundamental principles that describe the behavior of objects in motion. They state that an object will remain at rest or in uniform motion unless acted upon by an external force, the force applied to an object is equal to its mass times its acceleration, and for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
